This site is focused on presenting content related to my Internet activities, services, consulting, etc. It is also a sandbox to examine various web enabled platforms designed to present content. By way of analogy, we might consider Architecture and how differing designs can impact the appeal and the accessibility both for those who 'live' within and those who 'visit' from without. Or, we might think of numbering systems and how they serve the needs. We are all familiar with the Roman/Arabic base-10 system. But quite a number of folks function quite well for a part of their day in the base-2 numbering system; namely, the numbering system computer languages must comprehend in order to access the computer's CPU. The technologies I will be exploring here are web 2 ideas, php scripts, such as the one hosting this site: Joomla 1.5.x. There are many ways to handle content on the web. It's becoming quite easy to get your photos and thoughts published; and in particular, it's becoming apparent that many younger people are wanting to rely on pervasive technologies to do this more and more. By pervasive, I mean something fairly accessible. A cell phone might be considered something like this. The recent popularity of the iPhone and competitors come to my mind. |
